Overview

Multi-disciplinary artist Jacob Rochester, born in Bloomfield, CT, uses oil paint to explore the theme of black Americana at the close of the 20th century. Rochester’s vivid still life’s and portraits capture the cultural icons and articles that grew in significance during black America’s emergence as the global standard for innovation in entertainment, fashion, and pop culture. The deus ex machina found in black expression is as mysterious as it is graceful. Jacob Rochester studied Graphic Design at the University Of Connecticut. He currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.  Text by John Itiola.
