Galerie Marguo is pleased to present Indigo Skyline, a new body of work by New York based artist Amanda Baldwin. Baldwin’s first solo exhibition in Europe continues her investigation into the contemporary roles of landscape and still life painting.
Opening 11 March at Galerie Marguo’s Paris location, ‘Indigo Skyline’ expands on Baldwin’s interest in breaking down the familiar by presenting playful worlds where uncertainty works itself into concrete forms and the organic and inorganic produce eerily similar rhythms and patterns. By striking a balance between disintegration and recognition, Baldwin imbues new identities with the familiar. The artist seeks geometric order and reason as she explores mathematical patterns and their relationship to natural phenomena.
