Casa Marguo is excited to welcome Ángela Ferrari as our first artist resident for the 2025 summer season.
Ángela Ferrari is a visual artist whose practice spans painting, textiles, and installation. Rooted in the deconstruction of classical European pictorial traditions, particularly the genre of hunting scenes, Ferrari's evocative work interrogates historical narratives of power, submission, and control. Engaging with historically Western, colonial, and patriarchal narratives, the artist often disrupts its conventions, reframing it as a space for feminist and ecological inquiry.
Drawing inspiration from Menorca's natural vegetation, flora, and wildlife, Ángela's latest works will continue to explore the ferocity of mankind through tensions hidden within the island's landscapes and atmospheres.
Join us at Casa Marguo in Menorca this Saturday 21 June for an open studio visit with Ángela Ferrari. Experience a day of art and conversation to meet with Ángela, get a sneak peak of her latest works, and enjoy a fresh installation of artworks throughout the house.
